Premier Inn Shrewsbury Town Centre hotel

Been here a few times while visiting Shrewsbury. It's been very good, with good food, and very nice staff. They give out free WiFi codes when you ask, they are just really nice people.

Ideal overnight stay in Shrewsbury. Located a 5 minute walk from the train station the hotel was quite easy to find. Check-in was easy but only 1 self check-in machine was working. Room clean and comfortable as you would expect. The restaurant/bar closed earlier than what I thought it would which was a shame but still a good stay regardless.

Nice hotel, only complaint was, there wasn't anyone on reception on my arrival only one of the self serve machine and that one was playing up, service was ok apart from when I ordered my meal, then had to wait 30 minutes for my food to arrive and the restaurant was not that busy, but when it did, it was hot and fresh so no real problems, TV in the room didn't work well due to the remote battery was flat, Parking at this hotel is in the bottom of a multi storey carpark and very narrow bays I drive a WV Transporter which is not a wide vehicle but struggled to park. £13.00 per night to park I feel is a little steep.

My husband and myself stayed at this Premier Inn in Shrewsbury from the 30th of September 2025. We were in a Premier room that was very clean, the bed was comfortable, unfortunately the toilet paper was of very cheap quality. I never thought Premier Inn would sink that low and allow toilet papers like those in their hotel. The hair dryer was not working. Breakfast was delicious as always and the stuff, polite and very helpful. Will still come back to this hotel and hope next time, the rooms will have better toilet tissues and hair dryer will be working.

Had a one night stay for work 12/2/26 staff were all lovely last night, but this morning (13/2) I checked out of the hotel, got to work and realised I’d left my charger in my room. Ran back to the hotel, where I was greeted by Adam who was professional and friendly and let me go back up to collect my lost charger! Thanks so much Adam, you’re a life saver!

Outstanding Service from Tracey and Bella! I stayed at Premier Inn tonight and was genuinely blown away by the service from Tracey and Bella. From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Their professionalism, friendliness, and genuine care made the experience feel so personal and welcoming. They handled everything with such warmth and efficiency — it’s clear they truly take pride in their work and the comfort of their guests. You can tell when people love what they do, and Tracey and Bella absolutely do. They both deserve to be recognised for their amazing attitude and outstanding service. Premier Inn is lucky to have them — they turned a simple stay into a memorable experience!

Really recommend this hotel It's really lovely. I would stay here again if I come to Shrewsbury. Room, price & staff are great. The staff go above & beyond to help & please you, they are very friendly polite & helpful. Food beautiful, would highly recommend eating in the restaurant/bar & reasonably priced cannot praise it enough.

This hotel is ideal as a base for exploring Shrewsbury town centre (via the nearby Darwin Shopping Centre). You know what you're getting with Premier Inn and it's not for everyone. This one is enhanced hugely by the team member Ellen. As well as her overall friendliness, she dealt perfectly with two separate requests I made during my stay. The Thyme restaurant on the premises is very spacious, ensuring a relaxed personal environment for enjoying breakfast there. Although the chain's breakfast choice has never been vast, the food that was offered was very tasty. Overall, I found it a very well-priced hotel in a town that is an excellent place to spend a few days.
